KALGOORLIE HEALTH CAMPUS — MAGNETIC
RESONANCE IMAGING MACHINE
1233. Hon ROBIN SCOTT to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Minister for Health:
(1) In relation
to an undated letter, reference 59-075947/CI, addressed to Senator Peter
Georgiou and signed by the Premier of Western Australia, can the minister
confirm that the WA Country Health Service has prepared a business case for the
MRI for the Kalgoorlie Health Campus?
(2) Will the minister table that
business case?
(3) Is the
Premier's statement that the business case will be submitted for the
2019–20 budget equivalent to a commitment that the MRI will be included
in that budget?
(4) Noting the
Premier's statement that the installation and commissioning of the MRI
could be achieved within 30 months of the budget decision, why should the
people of the goldfields be required to wait for a further two and a half
years, when six months would be more than adequate for all the necessary
capital works and installation?
