1434. Hon PETER COLLIER to the minister representing the
Minister for Corrective Services:
I refer the minister to page 24 of
the Office of the Inspector of Custodial Services' Annual report
2023–24 , which indicates that 7 792 adults were in custody on 30 June
2024, and to question without notice 1339, asked on 24 October 2024, which
states that the prisoner population as of 30 June 2025 is projected to be 7 800.
(1) Will the
minister confirm that the increase in prisoner population from 30 June 2024 to
30 June 2025 is projected to increase by eight adults?
(2) If no, what is the projected
increase or decrease?
