The strategy is known as e2c and the first step was the recently announced Telecommunications Tender under which Telstra and Optus were awarded preferred supplier status to provide high bandwidth networks between all schools. The strategy includes development of professional development for teachers and on-line curriculum. Furthermore, a pilot in the Fremantle district is being conducted to assess various technologies and the needs of teachers in the proper integration of technology into teaching and learning.
