I refer to the parliamentary inspector’s report to the Joint Standing Committee on the Corruption and Crime Commission. Has the Attorney General asked the inspector - and, if not, will he - why he devoted four pages of his report to establishing a case of misconduct against Ms Rayner under the Corruption and Crime Commission Act, yet did not undertake the same analysis to determine whether Ms Rayner had committed any offence under the Criminal Code; for instance, attempting to pervert the course of justice? Mr J.A. McGINTY

To the best of my knowledge, I have not spoken to Mr McCusker for some months. I have certainly not spoken to him at all in the past few months. Accordingly, I have not raised that issue with him. In my view, parliamentary accountability through the parliamentary committee is a matter that should be appropriately raised with Mr McCusker if members of the parliamentary committee have a concern about it.
