I refer to question on notice 96 asked on Tuesday, 26 June and the answer provided. (1) Can the minister explain why the work in question being constructed of an earthen catchment bund and installation of a pipeline along the new route was described as maintenance of an approved mining operation that required no further approval? (2) Can the minister explain why approval of the State Mining Engineer was required for the operation of the pipeline in September 1991? Hon KEN TRAVERS
