Answer: (1) No. (2) Progress of the Police Commissioner¡¦s Conference Electronic Crime Working Party is as follows: ?h The Scoping Paper has been completed and has been publicly presented; ?h The Strategy Paper is currently before the Commissioners of Police awaiting approval and sign off, which is expected to occur week commencing 23 October 2000. (3) It is expected that the strategy will be made public after being presented for approval to the Australasian Police Minister¡¦s Council, which is expected to meet in December 2000. (4) The Model Criminal Code Officers Committee, a concurrent but not co-operative initiative, which reports to the Standing Committee of Attorneys General, is addressing that aspect. The Commercial Crime Division within the Western Australia Police Service has submitted a draft legislation proposal to address many issues relating to computer-based crime. The proposal is currently under consideration by the DPP. (5) Not known at this stage.
