The information requested as at 14 April 2026 is provided in the table below. This covers the period following the Governor’s declaration under s43 of the Fuel, Energy and Power Resources Act 1972 on 1 April 2026.
Region No. of stations that experienced stockouts of at least one fuel type
Perth 67; Peel 8; Kimberley 4; Pilbara 5; Gascoyne / Mid West 13; Goldfields-Esperance 4; Wheatbelt 4; South West 13; Great Southern 6

Localised shortages have stabilised, with resupply occurring at regular intervals. Road users can view fuel station availability and alternate locations via the FuelWatch website.
The State Government has established a Strategic Fuel Stockpile and appointed the State Fuel Controller to respond to any future localised shortages in regional areas.
