(2) The trial provided early information regarding driving patterns, infrastructure requirements and public familiarisation of electric vehicles. It also provided information on possible wider adoption of Electric Vehicles in the future, particularly in corporate fleets.

(4) The reports on the Western Australian Electric Vehicle Trial were prepared by the University of Western Australia and a digital copy of the report is available at:

(5) The trial triggered a review of distribution and retail electricity licencing regulations, resulting in an exemption from these requirements for operators of electric vehicle charging stations.
