I refer to the future of WA’s fishing industry and the Fishing Futures Forum, and I ask : (a) Has any consultation taken place for any people or organisations who were not invited to the forum; and (b) If so, with whom, and if not, why not?

(a) Yes.
(b) Meetings on the science (stock assessments) were held with commercial and charter licence holders, fishing peak bodies, Australian Marine Conservation Society, Dhufish Forever Steering Committee, (interim) Aboriginal Fishing Advisory Committee, Pilbara Development Commission, and the Shadow Minister for Fisheries, in September and October 2025. All members of the WA community had an opportunity to comment during the ‘have your say’ consultation period between 18 September and 31 October 2025. Almost 2,500 people made comment through this channel.
