I refer to the proposed privately-funded Kimberley Marine Support Base (KMSB) at Broome Port and public access, previously named the ‘Kimberley Marine Offloading Facility’, the proponent of which is Kimberley Marine Support Base Pty Ltd, and I ask: (a) how will traffic continue to access Entrance Point beaches and boat ramps during construction and operation of KMSB; (b) is there a proposed deviation to the existing road to Entrance Point; (c) will any new deviation of the road to Entrance Point be subject to community consultation; (d) if no to (c), why not; (e) will the public have access to the beach adjacent to and underneath the proposed floating jetty; (f) if no to (e), how will the public access the beach between the proposed floating jetty and the existing jetty; (g) is the Minister aware of the coral reef in the area of the proposed floating jetty construction that has over 40 species of coral; (h) is the Minister aware that this area of reef has not been assessed for its environmental significance; and (i) will the Minister ensure the proponent undertakes a survey of the reef and provide a management plan to ensure it is not damaged?
