I refer to the answer given to
question without notice 1420 asked yesterday regarding the operational
guidelines for community kindergartens.
(1) Can the minister confirm whether the Department of
Education had previously committed to the establishment of a working
group to review the guidelines, and that working group was to include
representation from the Community Kindergartens Association?
(2) If yes, why has the working
group not been established?

Department of Education advises that at a meeting with the Community
Kindergartens Association held on 21 October
2019, members were advised that the operational guidelines would be reviewed
and the Community Kindergartens Association would be consulted. There
was no commitment to form a working party.
