(1) With reference to question on notice No. 1659 of 21 October 2014, and the "Outcomes and Key Effectiveness Indicators" in the 2014-15 Budget Paper No. 2 , Volume 2, page 663 under the heading of "Parks and Wildlife", on which of these outcomes and key effectiveness indicators quantifies achievements for the following outcomes statements listed in the Department of Parks and Wildlife Strategic Directions 2014-17 : (a) contemporary legislation to support the protection, conservation and management of marine and terrestrial native animals, plants and other biodiversity elements across State lands and waters; (b) clear focus on outcomes in delivering highest priority science and conservation projects; (c) reinstatement of Western Shield as the department’s signature conservation program with strong public and corporate recognition and support; (d) prioritised investment in science and conservation programs to benefit conservation outcomes in the State’s lands and waters; (e) improved conservation security of key threatened animals, particularly the western ground parrot, woylie, numbat, bilby, boodie, golden bandicoot, mala, brushtail possum and djoongari; (f) plant species continue to thrive in the wild; (g) ex-situ plant collections to provide insurance against impacts on wild populations; (h) retention and enhancement of the high biodiversity and landscape values of the north Kimberley; (i) with external partnerships, restore the original suite of native fauna to Dirk Hartog Island National Park; (j) community is engaged in conserving and managing our native plants, animals and ecosystems; (k) population of priority feral animals and weeds are effectively managed; (l) dieback hygiene practices are more effective; and (m) resources are focused on highest priority ecosystem health actions? (1)-(2) The Budget Statements for government agencies present information at an aggregate level compared to detailed strategic plans and equivalent documents that individual agencies may produce. The Outcomes shown at pages 662 and 663 of the 2014-15 Budget Statements for the Department of Parks and Wildlife (Budget Paper No 2, Vol 2) encompass all of the Department's programs. Similarly the Key Effectiveness Indicators shown at page 663 indicate performance in general against the intended Outcomes.
