GORDON INQUIRY RESPONSE
I refer to a response to a question that was tabled yesterday referring to the Human Services Directors General group, which has overseen the implementation of the Gordon report. During 2006 there was only one meeting and then the group was suspended by the Cabinet Standing Committee on Social Policy on 29 June 2006. Why was the group suspended when it comprised the directors general of justice, indigenous affairs, health, housing and works, child protection, local government, disability, education, social policy, police, sport and recreation and culture and the arts? Hon SUE ELLERY

I was not the minister in 2006 so it is a bit difficult to provide the member with an answer to her question without notice. I am happy to get an answer but I am not in a position to provide an answer for a period when I was not the minister.
