AnswerView source ↗
I provide this answer on behalf of the parliamentary secretary representing the Minister for Education and Training, and I thank the member for some notice of this question. (1)-(2) No, not if the clearance is less than 12 months old. (3) Upon the commencement date, which is to be announced when the Act is proclaimed, all new teachers to the State will need to apply for registration before commencing employment. Currently, teaching teachers and those who have taught in the past will be registered progressively during the transitional periods allowed in schedule 4 of the Act. Information will be sent to all schools, released in the media and posted on the college web site.
