(1) There are initiatives across the entire network being considered for the future such as future signalling systems, train control systems and rolling stock requirements.
(2) The work described above is part of the ongoing Route and Infrastructure Utilisation Strategy and is intended for continual development and review.
(3) Initiatives will be put forward through a prioritised process as part of annual budget submissions and therefore represent a future investment decision for Government. As such details of the work will be released through the annual budget process.
