I refer to the Western Australian Indigenous Tourism Operations Committee (WAITOC) Review - The Way Forward of 14 May 2009, which highlights the benefits of Indigenous tourism not only on the mainstream tourism industry but also by increasing Aboriginal participation in the mainstream economy, and ask -
(1) Will the Minister commit to contracting WAITOC to a funding agreement similar to Tourism WA’s agreements with the Regional Tourism Organisations and/or the Perth Convention Bureau in the 2010 - 2011 financial year as recommended by the report?
(2) Will the Minister commit to funding WAITOC with at least $405 000 in 2010 - 2011, as recommended by the report?
