WATER CORPORATION —
STANDPIPES — REVIEW
701. Hon COLIN de GRUSSA to the minister representing the
Minister for Water:
I refer to an article in The
Esperance Express of 5 June about the potential closure of the Gibson fixed
water standpipe following a review of all regional water standpipes by the
Water Corporation.
(1) Can the minister please provide a list of all
regional standpipes that have been identified for transfer or closure?
(2) Can the minister please provide a list of all
regional standpipes that have had or will have their flow restricted?
(3) Can the
minister please table a copy of the Water Corporation's review of
regional fixed standpipes?

I thank the member for that
question.
I am surprised that the member has
asked that because his office was contacted on several occasions today and
advised that the Minister for Water has said that because of the extensive
nature of this question, it could not be answered today, but that we would
answer it tomorrow if the member were to ask it on that day. I am not sure why
the member has put this forward, but we will get him the information when we
can.
