I refer to the
proposal to build the East Perth primary school.
(1) What is the
total estimated cost of the project?
(2) What
component of (1) represents an estimated cost of construction?
(3) What
component of (1) represents an estimation of site preparation works including
land assembly costs?
(4) When will the
school be opened?
(5) Will the project be funded from the asset
investment program outlined in the 2024–25 state budget, noting the
2024–25 budget only provisioned $117 million for new primary schools on
page 156 of budget paper No 3?
(6) If no to (5),
how will the project be funded?

state government has allocated $2.821 million to progress a project definition
plan for the planned new primary school in East Perth. The finalised project
definition plan will inform the anticipated cost of the project, including site
preparation works.

the project definition plan is listed as a separate line item in the asset
investment program.
