BACK ON TRACK — WA STATE TRAIL BIKE STRATEGY
I have a supplementary question. The minister said that the cabinet noted the strategy, but does the government support it? The minister has not addressed the key component, which is the registration of trail bikes. When will the registration of trail bikes come into being in Western Australia? Mr T.K. WALDRON

AnswerView source ↗

The registration is part of the strategy. Yes, I think there is general support for the trail bike strategy, but we have to ensure that in doing that, we do it the right way and the government has to be in a position to fund it and to ensure that it is rolled out properly. As I said, I do not want to do it half-heartedly. I am not stupid; we have taken an interim position with what we have done, but it is a very important interim position. We could have done nothing but we have got off our behinds and done it.
