I ask a supplementary question. Is the Attorney General now admitting that he failed to consult with religious leaders in Western Australia prior to introducing this legislation? Mr J.A. McGINTY

I am saying that the Chief Justice, in making his recommendation to us, consulted with the religious leaders in Western Australia. Can I make it any clearer? The issue was one on which everyone was consulted. There was obviously some mix-up between the religious leaders and the Chief Justice, and in the Chief Justice translating that to me, and on that basis we have revised our plans.
