representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the $26.9 million
allocated in the 2015–16 budget ''to upgrade the traction power
capacity of the Authority's urban passenger network and to provide
additional stowage lines at the Authority's Claisebrook Depot''.
(1) How much of this $26.9 million
is for the additional stowage yards?
(2) What works are proposed to
upgrade the traction power capacity?
(3) Do the works
include new main-line connection to the Claisebrook depot; and/or a new
cross-over on the Goongoongup bridge?
(4) If yes to (3), what is the
purpose of this new connection and/or cross-over?

The Public Transport Authority has
provided answers regarding the allocation of funding to projects in 2015–16.
(1) A total of $5.7 million is
allocated in 2015–16 for additional stowage yards at Claisebrook.
(2) No works are
proposed in 2015–16. As explained, the allocation the member referenced
in his question commenced in 2012–13 and the upgrades are now complete.
(3) No.
(4) Not applicable.
