The key change to the Memorandum of Understanding between the Department for Child Protection and Family Support and the Disability Services Commission reflects changes to cost sharing arrangements for support packages, including the use of indexation and cost bands.
Disability Services Commission funding for support packages for foster carers will be capped at $45,000 per annum recurrent per package. Packages above this level of funding will be considered on a cost-shared basis with the Department for Child Protection and Family Services as outlined in the table below.
