In relation to anchor tenants for skyscrapers on the Perth Waterfront project, I ask:
(a) has the Minister, any Ministerial staff or any Department officials had contact with any potential companies or lobbyists regarding the company's interest in securing office accommodation with a major building as part of the Waterfront project; and
(b) if so, what was the substance and content of such approaches?

(a) - (b) As with all redevelopment projects of this nature the Government, in this case through the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority, actively markets the potential opportunities to invest in projects, this ensures the optimum value for money and return for Government investment is achieved. As a result it is not uncommon to meet and be contacted by a range of interested parties looking to play a role in the delivery of over $2b of anticipated private sector investment in the Elizabeth Quay project.
