AGREEMENT ACTS

I have a supplementary question. Why can the Premier not
control his cabinet ministers to ensure investment certainty in Western
Australia and stop them speculating on amending state agreement acts without
consent?

How does the opposition upset investor confidence when it has
policies such as no fracking; when it has a policy such as ''let's
turn our back on China'', our most important trading partner, as the
opposition is out there campaigning, and as it is campaigning against the China–Australia
free trade agreement? What is the opposition's position on that? Does
the opposition oppose it? That is the sort of issue that affects —
Several members interjected.
Mr C.J. BARNETT :
The Labor Party in Western Australia is against the China free trade agreement.
Point of Order
Mr
W.J. JOHNSTON : Mr Speaker, I would be indebted if you could ask the
Premier to answer the question asked rather than speculating on other issues.
The
SPEAKER : Premier, anything further?
Questions without Notice Resumed
Mr C.J. BARNETT :
The question was about me controlling ministers. Where is the Leader of the Opposition
when his party is out campaigning against the China free trade agreement? Where
is he when the shadow environment minister is saying that we cannot have
fracking in Western Australia? Where is he? I will tell members where he is. He
is waiting on the phone for Bill Shorten to give him his instructions for the
day because this guy cannot think for himself.
Several members interjected.
Mr C.J. BARNETT :
They can carry on about that. The Labor Party is campaigning on anti-business
and anti-jobs policies.
Mr W.J. Johnston interjected.
