PROTECTED ENTERTAINMENT PRECINCTS — EXCLUSION
ORDERS
1138. Hon Dr BRAD PETTITT to the minister representing the
Minister for Police:
I refer to the statement given by
Minister Whitby in the other place on Thursday, 31 August 2023 about protected
entertainment precincts.
(1) As of Wednesday, 20 September
2023, please provide a list of —
(a) the number of short-term
exclusion orders issued by the Western Australia Police Force;
(b) the number of
applications lodged with the director of Liquor Licensing for extended
exclusion orders; and
(c) the breakdown across Perth,
Northbridge, Hillarys, Mandurah and Fremantle.
(2) How many of the individuals in
(1) identified as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander?
(3) How many of the individuals in
(1) had no fixed address or were otherwise unhoused?

some notice of the question. The following information has been provided to me
by the Minister for Police.
The Western Australia Police Force
advise —
(1) (a) There were 43.
(b) There were two.
(c) There were 40
from Perth/Northbridge, two from Hillarys, two from Mandurah and one from
Fremantle.
(2) There were 17 persons
identifying as Aboriginal.
(3) There were three.
