I refer to the answers to additional questions arising from the 2017-2018 Annual Report Hearings (Department of Communities Annual Report), and I ask: (a) who were the “various stakeholders” that met with the Department of Communities at the “regular meetings” in the planning of the Respectful Relationships program; (b) were any documents created for or as a result of these meetings: (i) if yes to (b), will you table them; and (c) how much of the allocated $1 million funding has been spent on this program to date?

(a) In planning for the Respectful Relationships Program, the Department of Communities (Communities) met with the Department of Education and the School Curriculum and Standards Authority of Western Australia. Communities also met with White Ribbon Australia and Starick Services Incorporated after these organisations were identified as suitable service providers to deliver a program tailored to the unique needs of WA schools.
(b) A Business Case was developed, in addition to an Expression of Interest form for schools to complete.
(i) Yes, I am pleased to table the Business Case and Expression of Interest document at See tabled paper no. and appreciate the interest of my parliamentary colleagues in this important initiative, an initiative that reflects WA’s shared commitment to respectful relationships education under the National Plan to Reduce Violence Against Women and Children 2010-2022.
(c) To date, $260,000 has been spent in the 2018-19 financial year.
