(b) in which towns and communities will the funds be spent; (c) who will be responsible for administering the funds; and (d) when will the programs commence operation in each town referred to above?
(c) who will be responsible for administering the funds; and (d) when will the programs commence operation in each town referred to above?
(d) when will the programs commence operation in each town referred to above?
It is assumed that the Member for Pilbara is referring to the proposed redevelopment of Perth Oval as a multi sports stadium for Soccer, Rugby and other sports. This being the case there are no plans by this government to replicate a state/national/international amenity of this type in the Northwest of this state. Should the member be referring to localised recreation centres, then the development of these facilities seeking government financial support is progressed via the Community Sport and Recreation Facilities Fund (CSRFF). The closing date for application to CSRFF was 30 October 2002. Applications for CSRFF were submitted by interested local governments and community groups and the process was administered by the Department of Sport and Recreation on behalf of the Government. Successful projects currently requesting CSRFF grants can proceed after the Minister for Sport and Recreation announces approved projects in February 2003. Any projects with an existing approval will proceed in accordance with their own construction timetable.
