The Office of the Auditor General's (OAG) Report on Financial Audit Results – State Government 2025 released on 3 December 2025 recommended that agencies use caution before making climate related disclosures, particularly in financial statements, until the results from the private and public sector WA pilot are better understood. Can the Treasurer please advise: (a) Will this recommendation be included in the annual instruction issued to agencies by the Department of Treasury and Finance on the preparation of Annual Reports; (b) If not, why not; and (c) When is it likely that the private and public sector WA pilot will be completed?

(a)-(b)  The Department of Treasury and Finance has provided the same recommendation to agencies.
(c)        The public sector pilot has concluded.
The private sector mandatory disclosure regime is in effect for the largest entities, with requirements for smaller entities to be phased in over 2026 and 2027.
