2. 13.78% with respect to RiskCover There are a number of Government Entities not covered by RiskCover. Western Power, Gold Corporation and the Grain Pool are insured in the private insurance market, totally external to RiskCover. The University of WA is also insured outside RiskCover. Furthermore, Water Corporation, Curtin and Murdoch Universities only have their Workers' Compensation insurance with RiskCover and the remainder of their general insurances placed outside of RiskCover. The Department of Housing and Works also insure their rental properties outside RiskCover. RiskCover does not provide Directors and Officers Insurance. Government Entities requiring this cover place it directly with the private insurance market. The Insurance Commission is not privy to the current cost and estimated percentage increases for the 2002-2003 financial year for insurance policies placed outside of RiskCover. It is however likely that the percentage increases for these private sector renewals, will differ from those for RiskCover. As these involve large insurance placements they may have a material impact on the answers provided at 1 and 2 above.
