The allocation and distribution of GROH dwellings across Western Australia is guided by the workforce planning needs of the individual agencies and their priorities.
Over a typical year, approximately one-third of GROH tenancies turn over due to normal regional staff rotations, fixed-term placements, and leave.
Occupancy is not managed by the Department of Housing with each agency managing the occupancy of its own dwellings. Vacancy figures are point-in-time only and do not provide a reliable current or ongoing measure.
