YOUR VOICE IN HEALTH
SURVEY
582. Ms L. METTAM to the Minister for Health:
I refer to the minister's
Your Voice in Health survey, which has been delayed due to the minister's
inability to find a new provider for the staff engagement poll.
(1) Is this
simply another attempt by the minister's government to hide the bad
news with WA's hospital system in crisis and with morale at an all-time
low?
(2) Will the
minister guarantee to undertake the survey and release its findings by the end
of the year?

(1)–(2) My
understanding is that the company that undertook this survey liquidated. It no
longer exists. It folded. The company folded. The Department of Health has
undertaken the due diligence around finding a new provider to undertake the
survey. It is part of the government's ongoing engagement. It is one of
many mechanisms that the government uses to engage with our health workforce,
including the ministerial advisory panel and our ongoing engagement and
meetings with public health unions, which we undertake constantly. The Your Voice in Health survey will of course be back,
pending finding an appropriate vendor.
Ms L. Mettam : Further
question.
The SPEAKER : The term in
this Parliament is ''supplementary question'', not further
question. I know the federal Parliament has further questions, but here we have
supplementaries.
