For each agency within the Minister's portfolio, I ask, has any officer above level 3.1 accepted any hospitality, invitation to an event, free accommodation or free travel from a private company or individual, since 1 November 2011, and if so:
(a) how many officers have accepted any hospitality, invitation to an event, free accommodation or free travel from a private company or individual;
(b) what was the nature of the hospitality, event, free accommodation or free travel, and what is the name of the individual or private company that offered them;
(c) what is the estimated individual value of the hospitality, event, free accommodation or free travel; and
(d) does the agency have any commercial or financial relationship with the private company or individual, and if so, what is the nature of that commercial or financial relationship?

The following responses supplied by the agencies listed below are for the period 1 November 2011 to 28 March 2012.
Department of Education Services
(a) Five officers.
(b)-(c) Three officers attended the Perth Education City (PEC) Christmas Sundowner on 30 November 2011. The estimated value is less than $30 per officer.
Two officers attended a meeting and luncheon of the Executive Management Committee of the Western Australian Private Education and Training Industry Association (WAPETIA) on 1 December 2011. The estimated value is less than $50 per officer. Note: one officer attended both of the above events.
The Chief Executive Officer attended the Hopman Cup at the invitation of the Minister. Cost is not known.
(d) The Department of Education Services funds Perth Education City under the State Government's program to support WA international education. The funding supports the coordinated marketing of the WA brand. There is no financial relationship with the other organisations mentioned.
School Curriculum and Standards Authority
(a) One officer.
(b)-(c) Acting Chief Executive Officer. Attended the Hopman Cup 2012 at the invitation of the Minister for Education. Cost is not known.
(d) No.
