CORRUPTION AND CRIME
COMMISSION REPORT — ELECTORATE OFFICERS
823. Mr R.S. LOVE to the Premier:
I
refer to the Corruption and Crime Commission report titled Significant
misconduct risks to good government tabled this week from an inquiry
that commenced following allegations made by the Premier's own
electorate staff. The report found that WA Labor electorate officers routinely
engage in campaigning and campaign-related training during office hours, a practice
the commissioner has labelled as a risk to fair elections.
(1) As the
minister responsible for the Department of the Premier and Cabinet, has the
Premier read this report that identifies serious misconduct risks occurring
under his watch?
(2) When will
the government respond to the recommendations made by the CCC, and will the
Premier commit to doing so well ahead of the state election on 8 March 2025?
