1) The funding for the support for the planned five new out-of-home respite facilities will be dependent upon the service model adopted. The model of support for each respite house will be based on what is most appropriate to the local area, and will be determined at the local level. Sources of funding to be considered include growth funding for respite and accommodation support provided under the Disability Assistance Package under the bilateral agreement recently signed by the Premier; and individualized funding provided to families via Local Area Coordination and other Disability Services Commission programs.
2) The model of support for each of the five new out of home respite facilities will be designed around local needs, and the funding will be identified accordingly.
