I
refer to the Minister’s statement to Assembly Estimates Committee B on 22 May
2018 that $6.5 million from the $32.4 million in cuts to the construction of
the new WA museum had been reallocated to upgrades at His Majesty’s Theatre, and
ask: (a) did
the $6.5 million allocated to the His Majesty’s Theatre upgrade come from the
cuts to the new WA Museum project budget: (i) if
not, where did the $6.5 million in funding for the His Majesty Theatre upgrades
come from; (ii) has
the $32.4 million in new WA Museum savings been reallocated to any other
projects and, if yes, please list them and the designated funds; and (iii) if yes, why did the Minister state in the Assembly on 15 August 2018 that the allocation of funds to His Majesty’s Theatre upgrade were a further $6.5 million that was provided to the Cultural and Arts portfolio in 2018-19?
