444. Mrs M.H. ROBERTS to the
Minister for Police:
(1) Has the
minister been advised that a dangerous sexual offender was arrested on
Saturday, 25 June for the alleged contravention of a supervision order and the
alleged aggravated sexual assault of a woman?
(2) Has the
minister assured herself as to whether this person could have been detained in
custody by using the provisions of her amendment bill, which is currently
before this house; and, if not, why not?
