secretary representing the Minister for Transport:

week; I hope the parliamentary secretary gets a promotion.
(1) When was the last lease of a taxi
plate in each category of plate, issued by the government?
(2) When does the government expect
it will issue any new leases for each category of taxi plates?
(3) How many leases will be offered
for each category?

(1) The last
conventional taxi plate was issued on 24 March 2016, the last peak-period taxi
plate was issued on 23 March 2016, and the last multipurpose taxi plate was
issued on 22 March 2016.
(2) New leases
for conventional taxi plates will be issued on 29 March 2016 and for
peak-period taxi plates on 29 March 2016. No leases are due to expire for
multipurpose taxi plates.
(3) Eight leases
will be offered for conventional taxi plates and one will be offered for
peak-period taxi plates.
