I refer to ''Significant Issues Impacting the Agency''
on page 461 of the 2012–13 budget papers.
(1) What specific
resources have been increased to the industry, science and innovation division
of the Department of Commerce to implement the 10-point local content
framework?
(2) What was
the resourcing level prior to the 10-point local content framework, and what will
be provided in 2012–13 and the forward estimates?

I thank the honourable member for some notice of the
question, not least because it gives me an opportunity to acknowledge the work
that is being done by Steve Grocott and the others in the team in this
particularly important area of government policy and government activity. I
congratulate them on the fine work they are doing. In answer to the member's
question —
(1) The
specific resources that have been increased to the industry, science and
innovation division to implement the 10-point local content framework were an
additional five FTE positions.
(2) The
resourcing level prior to the 10-point framework was four FTEs. Funding for
these positions will be continued in 2012–13 and the forward estimates.
