(3) This report was commissioned and managed by Art on the Move (AOTM). The WHK Howarth consultancy was supported by the DCA to provide assistance to the AOTM board in their strategic planning to ensure the future sustainability of AOTM.
(4) AOTM are shortly due for contract negotiations for the next triennium, 2010 - 2112, with the Department of Culture and the Arts. Funding levels will be determined by both the availability of funds and the business planning provided by AOTM. AOTM currently receives triennial funding from DCA of $412 010.00 per annum.
(5) An option put forward in the report by WHK Horwath was a reduction in exhibition programming from four to two exhibitions a year. The Department of Culture and the Arts have supported this option for one year only to assist AOTM to responsibly manage budget shortfalls. This is an interim measure only, to allow the AOTM Board to plan appropriately for the next triennium in the context of a difficult sponsorship environment that is likely to affect all of AOTM's stakeholders.
