I refer to the employment of Technical Assistants by the Health Department, and I ask: (a) for each financial year from 2007–2008 to 2013–2014 inclusive: (i) how many new full-time equivalent (FTE) positions were created; and (ii) how many FTE were employed in total; and (b) for each financial year from 2007–2008 to 2013–2014 inclusive: (i) how many of the new FTE positions were filled by holders of subclass 457 skilled work visa holders; and (ii) how many FTE employed in total were holders of subclass 457 skilled work visas?

A Technical Assistant is defined as someone who performs routine analyses of laboratory samples including set up and/or maintenance of laboratory or other technically based equipment and may require certificate level qualifications
