I refer to my question on notice No. 4443 regarding the metering of water licences ≥ 5ML/annum in the Ord surface water priority water management areas in accordance with
Strategic Policy 5.03 Metering the Taking of Water
, and I ask -
(1) Regarding the six licenses that are required to meter and report their usage to the Department of Water, how many did so in -
(a) 2009-10; and
(b) 2010-11?
(2) Regarding the 79 licences in the Ord surface water management area that are entitled to take more the 5ML/annum, but do not have a condition to meter and report their water usage -
(a) how many of these licences are expected to have a government owned meter retrofitted, and when does the Minister anticipate that this will take place;
(b) how many of these licences are due for renewal in -
(i) 2011-12; and
(ii) 2012-13,
(c) when does the Minister anticipate that all 79 licences will be metered?
