(a)-(b) As of 1 January 2026, the Main Roads Mid West-Gascoyne region has 11 maintenance crews, with three based in Carnarvon; five in Geraldton; two in Jurien Bay; and one in Mt Magnet.
There are 30 positions across all crews, including 20 road maintenance staff; eight general maintenance staff; and two sign maintenance staff.
(c) The maintenance transition is being assessed by various means including workforce capacity and capability, local jobs and economic opportunities, Aboriginal participation, and maintenance operations.
(d) $40 million in 2024-25; $53 million in 2025-26; out-years to be determined.
