PUBLIC TRANSPORT
AUTHORITY — BUS CONTRACT
698. Hon PETER COLLIER to
the minister representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to question without notice
674 asked on Wednesday, 24 June 2020 on the contract to supply buses to the
Public Transport Authority and the minister's request to put the
question on notice.
(1) Is the
minister aware that the value of imported content is on page 67 of the heavily
redacted contract that was tabled in Parliament on 21 May 2020?
(2) Given that
the number is readily available in the contract, will the minister provide the
information to the Parliament today; and, if not, why not?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the Leader of the
Opposition for some notice of the question. The following answer is provided on
behalf of the Minister for Transport.
(1)–(2) Although
I am advised that a dollar figure nominated by the parties as a value of
imported content in the contract is commercially sensitive, I can respond that
the figure represents 37.1 per cent of the total value.
