Can the Minister advise -
(1) How many orchards existed in the Shire of Kalamunda twenty years ago?
(2) Over the last twenty years, how many orchardists in the Shire of Kalamunda have pulled out their fruit trees as a consequence of their orchard no longer being economically viable?
(3) What was the total area under cultivation within the Shire of Kalamunda twenty years ago and what is the total area under cultivation today?
(4) What was the total annual value of fruit produced in the Shire of Kalamunda twenty years ago and what is the value of production today?
(5) What is the typical demographic profile of orchardists in the Shire of Kalamunda?
(6) If the remaining orchardists in the Shire of Kalamunda were to cease production, could the Western Australia market for fruit be supplied from existing or expanded areas in the South-West (such as Donnybrook)?
(7) If all orchards located within both the Shire of Kalamunda and the Middle Helena Catchment were to cease production, what would be the amount of fertiliser and pesticides that would no longer be applied to the Middle Helena Catchment?
