Coastal erosion
129. Mr Shane Love to the Deputy Premier:
I have a
supplementary question. With more land lost as recently as this morning, what
answers does the Deputy Premier have for immediate action for the people of
Lancelin?

AnswerView source ↗

I have to say, in
relation to immediate action, it is difficult because trying to reinforce the
coast in some areas is very, very difficult. There are no easy solutions. We
have seen this up and down the state; it is very, very difficult. We will continue to work with the local governments to
support them. As I said, this is a big issue across the state and across the
nation. We have increased the magnitude of grants. We will continue to work
with local governments to support them in what is a very, very big challenge.
