(1) No government schools have closed between 1 October 2008 and 1 March 2010.
(2) - (9) Not applicable, as there have been no school closures.
(10) Planning and review to improve educational provision across the State is a continuous process. There are no firm closure plans currently under consideration.
(11) - (12) Not applicable, as there have been no school closures.
(13) At the time of preparing the estimates an amount was included in the 3% Efficiency Dividend for Statewide Schooling Provision Reform. It was anticipated that this could provide an overall savings of around $3.5 million in 2009-10 and could include school amalgamations in certain circumstances.

(15) The treatment of shortfalls in the 3 per cent efficiency savings in 2009-2010 are to be determined as part of the State Government budget process.
