POLICING —
CAPEL REGION
275. Mr M.P. MURRAY to the Minister for Police:
I have a
supplementary question. I invite the minister to come down to Capel to put his
explanation to the Capel community.
The SPEAKER : I will give you an opportunity to answer if you wish to, minister.

AnswerView source ↗

I always try to help
the member for Collie–Preston, because he has a bit of trouble at
times. I think the question the member is asking is: would I be prepared
to come down to Collie?
Mr M.P. Murray :
No, to Capel. Get it right!
Mr R.F. JOHNSON :
He is the member for Collie. I come to Collie because my son lives there. He is
one of the member's constituents. He will not be voting for the member,
nor will his family. But I am more than happy to come down to Capel at a time
that we can sort out. I will talk to the member's local people,
absolutely, and I will make sure —
Mr M.P. Murray :
Make it next Thursday.
Mr R.F. JOHNSON : I
told the member that we have estimates next week. I hope the member will be
here all week during estimates. I am happy to come down to Capel at some time
that is convenient to both of us—certainly.
Mr M.P. Murray :
Please send me the dates that you are available.
Mr R.F. JOHNSON : I
will do that. I would love to do that; I would be happy to come to the member's
electorate.
Question without Notice 273 —
Tabling of Paper
The SPEAKER :
Minister for Police, there was a document that you used previously. I will
indicate to members that, to me, it is not an official document. It is one that
has been produced. It is the minister's opportunity to lay it on the
table, if he so desires. Certainly it is not anything official.
