(2) – (3) The above payment modes provide the necessary flexibility for clients. All clients have the option of paying any invoice electronically (by EFT) directly into the Department’s bank account if they desire. In the Education sector the payments for vacation swimming fees, professional development fees, repayment of overpaid salaries, police clearance fees, staff rental and sundry debtors could possibly be paid through the internet. However, the volume and total value of payments involved are not sufficiently large to warrant the establishment of such a facility. Arrangements are being made to introduce the use of BPay direct on-line electronic payment facility through the payers’ bank websites for these services before the end of the financial year.
