I refer to Portman Ltd’s reporting of its Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972 obligations to the Environmental Protection Authority. (1) Is the minister aware of the archaeological survey conducted by Daniel M. De Gand of De Gand Pty Ltd - Jackson, Morse and Fry - in November 2002 over the Windarling and Jackson ore deposits? (2) Has Portman at any time admitted to the EPA the existence of this report and its contents? (3) Is the minister aware that this document states that Phil Nolan, manager of the Koolyanobbing operations, was present in August 2002 during the archaeological survey work documented by this report? The minister has provided the following reply - (1) No. However, I am aware that verbal advice relating to an archaeological survey, which may be the survey referred to in the question, has been provided to my office.
