1431. Hon KEN TRAVERS to the Minister for
Agriculture and Food:
I refer to the minister's silence regarding the impact of the
sale of Perth market on the fruit and vegetable industry in Western Australia.
(1) Has the minister identified any personal
conflict or potential conflict of interest due to family relationships in the
sale of Perth market?
(2) If yes to (1) —
(a) has the minister notified the Premier of the conflict;
(b) did the minister absent himself from any cabinet discussions on the
sale of Perth market;
(c) why has the minister not handed over
responsibility for the Perth market to another minister;
(d) how is the minister managing the conflict; and
(e) why has the minister not made any public disclosure of this
conflict or potential conflict?
